ALS patient says doctor-assisted dying bill gives him control over disease

A day after the federal government tabled long-awaited legislation setting the terms for doctor-assisted death, one Ontario patient said it finally gives him control over a disease that he has been powerless to prevent from ravaging his body for 24 years.
