Record high number of Ontarians in hospital with COVID-19 as Omicron wave continues

Ontario reported a pandemic high of 2,472 people with COVID-19 in hospital on Friday, as the number of admissions to intensive care also increased again. The previous high of 2,360 hospitalizations came on April 20, 2021, during the height of the height of the third wave.
