A homeless man begged for help, but shelter couldn't be found. 24 hours later he was on life support

A couple in Nelson, B.C., tried various avenues to find indoor shelter for a 60-year-old homeless and mentally ill man, all without success. The man ended up in hospital twice over the next 24 hours, the second time with a potentially fatal blood infection.
