Dartmouth surgeon first in Canada to perform total hip replacement with robot assistance

A Nova Scotia surgeon completed a Canadian first last November when she used a robot to perform a total hip replacement on a patient at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Dr. Jennifer Leighton says the robot gives her greater precision during the operation, and that means fewer patients need follow up surgeries.
