Doctors call for help as hospitals battle surgical backlogs, staffing shortages

There is a backlog of hundreds of thousands of surgical procedures, and it will take at least $1.3 billion in additional funding to get wait times back to what they were before the COVID-19 pandemic, Canadian Medical Association says.
